Community Recovery Profiles

The culture and support system of a community.

Is Your Community Recovery Ready?

Community recovery describes the ability of a community to support individuals in their paths towards improved well-being and diminished risk for substance use relapse. It is about the culture and support system of a community.

Resources and recovery infrastructure are important for community recovery, including treatment and rehabilitation facilities, medication assisted treatment services, a hospital or clinic, and a vibrant local peer support culture (e.g. Alcoholics Anonymous).

Our community profiles give feedback about whether a community is “recovery ready,” that is, whether the community has the necessary resources to support individuals in recovery.
