A Safe Place to Live

Having a safe and stable place to live opens the door to a variety of opportunities to be able to continue down the path of recovery, to become happy, healthy, and content.

Recovery housing can provide vital supports to people at any point in their recovery. Some recovery houses offer additional services such as supportive employment or mental health services. These residences also offer people a community that supports their recovery goals.

Recovery housing comes in many different forms. Some places require residents to have completed treatment before moving in, while others provide short-term transitional housing of six months or less. Many programs allow residents to remain for up to two years and still others offer permanent supportive housing as long as assistance is needed.
