Community Outreach
Forming Meaningful Relationships
In order for an RCC to be successful, it has to build a relationship with the community around it. While this might seem like a daunting task, the most important thing is to just get yourself out there. In this topic, we've come up with several resources to make this a little easier on you.
On this page, you'll find resources that discuss the key elements of community outreach. You can find the resources on this topic and a description of each item in the list below. Recovery Iowa Resources
At Public Science Collaborative, we created a quick, one-page flyer to help you understand how to use communication kits, what they are, and how they can help you enact effective outreach in your community.
This page includes two different resource finders, depending on what suits your needs. We recommend providing these links at any outreach events you hold or attend, and highlighting your own resources whenever possible!
On the Recovery Iowa website, you can use the Meetings Finder to locate current and local meetings whenever you may need them. This is a great resource to share at outreach events, or anywhere else!
Of course, we couldn't recommend outreach resources without mentioning Recovery Iowa itself. As a clearinghouse of resources, we recommend sharing this link alongside any other resource or outreach packets you may hand out.
